You’ve probably had a version of this poem sent to you through some annoying mass email from a well meaning colleague. I happened to find a recording of the original version and the original poet, Taylor Mali.
While I’m not much of a pep-rally, “Hooray for us poor, unappreciated teachers” kinda guy, I did really enjoy this.

Glad you guys enjoyed the video.
I find it always helps to ask those types of people who they got their degree from. They seem to get a bit flustered (or make exceptions that Professors aren’t really teachers).
